Pre-Operation Inspection
Before each use of the electric forklift, the operator must conduct a comprehensive inspection. This includes checking the battery level, as this directly affects the forklift's working time and efficiency. Also check the tire pressure and wear to ensure smooth operation and prevent accidents caused by tire problems. Furthermore, carefully check the performance of safety devices such as brakes, lights, and horn to ensure they are functioning properly.

 

Correct Operating Procedures
Operators should strictly follow the operating procedures. Before starting the forklift, ensure the forks are on the ground to prevent goods from falling due to fork wobbling during operation. Maintain an appropriate speed during operation, avoiding sudden acceleration, sudden braking, and sharp turns to prevent goods from tilting or the forklift from tipping over. When lifting goods, adjust the fork spacing and height according to the weight and size of the goods to ensure smooth lifting and handling.

 

Charging Precautions
The battery is the key power source of the electric forklift, and proper charging is crucial. Use the matching charger to charge the battery; avoid using incompatible chargers that could damage it.

 

Charging

Choose a well-ventilated location when charging to prevent the accumulation of hydrogen gas generated during charging, which could lead to safety accidents. Avoid overcharging and over-discharging, and perform regular battery maintenance to extend battery life.

 

Daily Maintenance

Regular maintenance of the electric forklift is crucial for ensuring its performance and lifespan. In addition to daily cleaning, regularly inspect and lubricate the forklift's mechanical components, such as chains and bearings, to ensure smooth operation. Also, regularly check the electrical system's wiring connections for tightness to prevent malfunctions caused by loose wiring.

 

Safe Load Capacity

Operators must strictly adhere to the safe load capacity regulations for electric forklifts and must not overload them. Overloading increases the burden on the forklift, leading to accelerated tire wear, brake failure, and other safety hazards, potentially even causing forklift tipping accidents. When loading goods, ensure the center of gravity of the load is balanced to prevent forklift instability caused by a shift in the center of gravity.
